03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

:: Saturday, March 13, 2004 ::
Wow...so many days, so many things to talk about:
First of all: The Independent Tour in Detroit - notable things:
- Detroit is a nasty, ugly city; at least, the Woodward/Downtown area; please, if y'all can help it, try to avoid it as much as possible, and no offense to any Detroit-living people, but uh...yeah...just no.
- Both Clay and Kelly were amazing, although it's not as if I expected anything less than that. My favourite parts of their sets were: Clay's rendition of Kyrie (love that song), When Doves Cry (yes! That "When Doves Cry"), the duet on "Without You" (Can't wait 'til Kim Locke's album comes out with that on it), and the acoustic versions of Measure of a Man and Fields of Gold (again, love that song); Kelly's acoustic Beautiful Disaster, her guitar-playing during Just Missed the Train, and a kind of weird-yet-cool dance version of Trouble with Love.

Anyway, that was my road trip with my mommy in a nutshell.

But what else is there? First of all, I think I've gone above and beyond "stressed out" into that phase of "ohdearlordi'msostressedsomebodypleasekillmenow"... Seriously, I've got assignments and other stuff coming out of my ass.

Given that, everyone's seemingly been quite depressed lately. Me? I've been quite...well, pissed off. I'm on a permanent plateau of pissed off...my middle name is "pissed off"....and, y'all get the rest of it. And seriously, it's because of several, identified things; There are few things that actually don't piss me off, which worries me because I've realised that I've become very bitter....more very bitter (that's not proper English, I know...but it makes sense in my mind...)

On other notes, I actually had a shift at work today... a White Rose shift. Imagine my shock, I know. Um, I arrived late, had to leave early, and now must find a way to get out of next week's Saturday shift, or at least get an earlier shift because it's closing night for West Side Story, and frankly, they can't really have a good closing night without any lights.

Argh...this is so frustrating; everything I do, everywhere I go, there's this lightbulb in my head that just flashes "piss-off! piss-off!". So a warning to everybody who I come in contact with this week: if I come off as an uber-bitch, I apologize and warn you now. I am not a happy camper.
